Part time writer. Festival founder. Beer geek. Spurs fan. Ad man.
I'm fortunate enough to have worked at some of the world's best advertising agencies, and with some of the world's best brands. I'm all about finding simple, effective and memorable ways of communicating complex messages to targeted audiences. My first proper career job was working as a Runner for a film production company in New York City. Through this, I made my way to London, where I have been since 2003, working in advertising.
I write a lot, on all sorts of different subjects, but always through a brand lens.
This is a summary of what I've been up to:

This is a summary of what I've been up to:

I'm currently Managing Partner at London independent creative agency isobel. We were recently shortlisted by Campaign for their Independent Agency of the Year awards. At isobel, I've been fortunate enough to work with brands like BrewDog, MAOAM, Diageo, Caffe Nero, Bordeaux Wines, just to name a few. And outside of our client work, I've particularly loved building our summer school and our in-house stand-up comedy nights isobelly laughs.

I'm a co-founder and Director of Country Music Festival Tennessee Fields, formally Dixie Fields. In our debut year, we made the Telegraph top 50 UK festivals and was named Best UK festival in the UK Country Music Spotlight Awards. Yeahaw.

I've worked with a whole range of beer brands, from Marston’s and Greene King, to Carling and BrewDog. And I rather like beer. So I also write about it, for a range of publications. I focus on consumer trends and beer marketing strategies.
Before isobel, I was fortunate to work at some other great agencies. I travelled the world at M&C Saatchi Export, working with a diverse set of clients, from the Prime Minister of Georgia, to Saudi Arabia's first e-commerce brand, and an airline in Nigeria. At DLKW I spent much of my time working with General Motors (Vauxhall in UK and Opel across Europe). And at JWT I worked with Vodafone globally, helping to launch 3G and working on several high profile campaigns with the likes of David Beckham, Michael Schumacher and Ferrari.

My first proper career job was as a Runner, for Cyclops Productions in New York City, Albert Watson's film production company. I did all sorts of crazy things, from driving trucks to typing out lyrics for will.i.am for his brand music partnerships.
I also met my future wife in New York, in a midtown hotel elevator.
Before advertising, I did a range of things. I spent time working as a Project Manager for UNICEF in Nigeria and as an Assistant Teacher in Sydney, Australia. I have a Human Geography degree from the University of Exeter and a Diploma in International Business from the Mountbatten Programme in New York. In fact... remarkably (to me at least), my research into 'the influence of surfing and surf culture on the identity of its participants' whilst at Exeter University was featured in a book written by my lecturer, Nick Ford, entitled 'Surfing and Social Theory'.
And way back in 2002, I represented the UK at a Student Conference on United State Affairs (SCUSA) at West Point Military Academy, discussing US Foreign Policy Post 9.11.
